The Founder
Irene Njoroge
Irene Njoroge is the Founder and Clinical Director of CAfRIC International and CAfRIC Centre Kenya. She is a Canadian trained and certified Mental Health Clinician and Behavioral Therapist, and an experienced emotional and relational well-being trainer and coach.
She holds a Bachelor of Nursing Degree (Mental Health Specialization), A Master of Public Health (Community Health and Health Promotion), and several post graduate certifications in substance use treatment and counselling, complex trauma and grief processing and therapy.
She has a keen interest in positive psychology and factors that promote human flourishing. She enjoys working with parents, educators, business and corporate leaders, and any person in a position of power or influence to train and coach them to increase self-mastery and emotional intelligence to nurture and promote safe spaces that allow people to maximize their full potential.
Irene is a loving and proud mother, a committed life partner, and she enjoys travelling, informal learning, training, alone time and also deep and meaningful connections with other people.
Irene’s passion is from her own experience of shame, growing up with alcoholism and mental illness in the family or origin.
